Leads the overall enterprise-wide HSE and Emergency Management/Business Resiliency direction and strategy through a team of 60 diverse professionals across Canada and the USA. Accountable for the successful company-wide strategic planning and response to COVID-19, through execution of the joint Emergency Coordination Center (ECC) and business Emergency Operations Centers (EOC’s) with an employee positive case rate of 3%. Produced 35% reduction in recordable injuries; 75% reduction in lost workdays and 52% reduction in severity rates. Authored the EPCOR HSE Risk Profile and Serious Injury or Fatality Prevention (SIFP) strategy to execute risk reduction action plans. A thought leader in creating company-wide strategies, plans, and reviews relating to overall risk. Assesses the current HSE climate, and proactively collaborates with the business areas throughout the company to inspire engagement, establish priorities and develop and implement a long-term framework with the right balance of direction and flexibility. Chairs and reports on key performance updates, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) strategic objectives and progress monthly to EPCOR’s Executive Leadership Council and the Board of Directors EH&S Committee on a quarterly basis. Passionately leading, developing, and stretching the senior management team as well as leading indirect reports, peers and other members of the organization by example. Ensures the Integrated Management Systems are successfully developed, implemented, and resourced aligned to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
