Leigh-Ann is a CRSP, with over 25 years of safety experience. She has recently embarked on a new adventure, leaving the corporate world to start her own business, Simply Safe. Based at its head office in Vernon BC, where Leigh-Ann spent her previous 19 years championing safety at Kal Tire as Director of Health and Safety. In this role, Leigh-Ann was responsible for the OHS support across a complex operation that includes retail locations, distribution centers, a transportation division, and manufacturing facilities. Leigh-Ann’s early career was spent at the City of Vancouver as health and safety trainer, and at Whistler/Blackcomb as their first OHS professional, after graduating honours from BCIT’s OHS diploma program.

In addition to starting her own business, Leigh-Ann currently volunteers as Vice Chair for the Women in OHS Society (WOHSS) and as a Board Member for the Tire Industry Association (TIA). Leigh-Ann was recently listed as one of the Top Women in Safety 2021.
