Regional Safety & Training Manager and Claims Coordinator, First Transit
Scott Crinson, Regional Safety & Training Manager and Claims Coordinator, First Transit
“Scott joined the transit industry over 15 years ago as a community shuttle driver with BC Transit. During his career with them, he drove conventional buses full time for 6 years until he became a Safety and Training Officer. Scott joined his current employer, First Transit Canada, in 2014 as a Location Manager in Terrace, BC. He has also worked as First Transit’s dedicated Injury Claims Coordinator for BC, and Location Manager for Langley Community Shuttle. In 2019, Scott moved into a full-time safety position with First Transit as Regional Safety & Training Manager and Claims Coordinator. He recently accepted a new position with First as Senior Regional Safety Manager, overseeing the Safety Program for First Transit Canada.
Scott brings his depth of operational experience to the safety role, giving him the perspective to view “safety” through the lens of both front-line workers and operational leaders. His training experience has given him the tools to engage with all levels of First Transit’s organization, as well as with customers, external stakeholders, and other safety professionals in pursuit of the safest possible work environment.
Scott is currently pursuing his CRSP designation as part of his commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.”
I’m interested in joining the Safety Leaders’ Summit this year for the opportunity to connect with other safety professionals to discuss the ongoing safety challenges facing virtually every industry in light of the ongoing pandemic.
